WHO WAS MR. AVERY?

This guest room is named for the sister and brother-in-law of Phoebe Edwards, the wife of the original owner, who lived directly east of the Edwards House in the early days of Fort Collins. As a surveyor, Franklin Avery platted Fort Collins in 1873, designing the wide streets that exist in town today.
